Browse websites saved in your Google Chrome history without an internet connection

When you open a web page in Google Chrome, the browser connects to the internet to display the latest version of the page.
But what happens if your device is offline? Usually, you'll see an error message saying there's no internet connection and asking you to reconnect.

However, Chrome stores a cached version of previously visited pages, which helps speed up browsing. That’s why pages you visit for the first time take longer to load, while pages you’ve already visited load much faster — because a copy is saved in the cache.

Using Google Chrome, you can actually view previously visited web pages even when you’re offline, allowing you to browse cached content with no problem.

To enable this feature, simply open Google Chrome and type the following in the address bar:
chrome://flags

Then search for the option called "Enable Offline Load Stale Button", and set it to "Enabled".
After that, click on "Relaunch" to restart the browser and apply the changes.

Alternatively, you can go directly to the setting by typing this URL into the address bar:
chrome://flags/#enable-offline-mode

Once the feature is enabled and your internet is disconnected, if you try to visit a web page that you’ve previously opened, you’ll see an error page with a button allowing you to view the cached version of the page offline.
Please note that this only works for pages that already have a stored version in the browser’s cache due to previous visits.
